SMAUG at the Geospatial World Forum 2024

The SMAUG project was presented by the project’s coordinator, Juan-Román Martínez Arranz from Indra, at the Geospatial World Forum (GMF) 2024 “Defence & Intelligence Summit: Enabling A Robust GeoIntelligence Infrastructure For Growth And Security” which took place from 15 to 16th of May 2024 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.



GWF is an annual gathering of geospatial professionals and leaders representing the entire ecosystem of public policies, national mapping agencies, private sector enterprises, multilateral and development organizations, scientific and academic institutions, and large end-users from government businesses and citizen services. The Defence & Intelligence Program of GWF 2024 addressed the changing global security requirements and the importance of establishing a robust GeoIntelligence infrastructure at national and regional levels to enable growth and security.

SMAUG participated and was presented during Session 4 “Enhancing Maritime Situational Awareness with GeoIntelligence”.
