SMAUG 4th General Assembly Meeting in Athens. Reviewing Progress and Planning Ahead
From 22nd to 23rd October, the SMAUG consortium partners gathered for the project’s 4th General Assembly Meeting at the historic Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of Greece’s oldest and most esteemed chambers. Hosted under the generous hospitality of the University of Piraeus and the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory (UniPi), the two-day meeting brought together project partners to reflect on achievements, exchange insights, and plan the next steps in the SMAUG journey.
Day 1: Reviewing Progress and Technical Developments The first day focused on the project’s technical progress. Partners presented recent developments, showcasing tangible outcomes, and discussed how SMAUG’s technical validation will be organised and executed. The discussions provided a valuable opportunity to align with the project’s aims and ensured that all components move forward cohesively.
Day 2: Planning Ahead The second day focused on the overall project status and future plans. Each work package gave updates and outlined upcoming objectives and challenges, encouraging a forward-looking discussion on how to maximise the project’s impact in the coming months.
After two productive days filled with insightful discussions, meaningful collaboration, and concrete planning, the SMAUG 4th General Assembly Meeting successfully concluded. The SMAUG team extends its heartfelt thanks to all partners for their active contributions and to the University of Piraeus and the Quantitative Analysis in Shipping Laboratory (UniPi) for their exceptional hospitality and support in making this meeting a success.
