SMAUG at EMRA ’25

Maritime Robotics AS Showcases SMAUG Project at EMRA’25 in Trondheim

Maritime Robotics participated in EMRA 2025, the 11th edition of the EU-funded Marine Robotics and Applications (EMRA) conference, hosted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Held from June 4th to 5th, this year’s event brought together a diverse range of speakers, from ongoing marine robotics projects, industry, end users and stakeholders for two days of interdisciplinary exchange and innovation.

As part of the shared programme with master students and researchers from MIR (Erasmus Mundus Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics), the first day of EMRA 2025 placed a strong emphasis on collaboration between early-stage researchers and experts.

During the event, Torbjørn Houge, from Maritime Robotics, presented insights from the SMAUG project. His presentation highlighted the versatility of their autonomous platforms across research initiatives and field operations.
